Aspirations Week
My visit to a local primary school!

Today I was lucky enough to be invited to White Court Primary School to talk all things D A N C E!
The children at White Court, got to choose which speaker they would like to listen to and I was lucky enough to have 100 smiley and wonderful students at my presentation from Year 3 to Year 6.
I started off explaining to the children how my hobby and love of dance turned into a career, what the pro's and con's of being a professional dancer and running a dance school are and then finally I showed them videos of my performance's of myself and the incredible children who attend The Dance Exclusive. I taught the students a couple of dance moves (tutting) and hope they will practise at home! At the end I let them ask me any questions and the questions I got ranged from 'What's your favourite song' 'How old were you when you started dancing as a job' 'What year did you start your dance school' and my favourite question... 'Can you show us some moves'!!
Of course I gave them all a Dance Exclusive sticker too - everyone loves stickers.
I love inspiring children through dance and really hope they left the presentation realising you can change a hobby into a job!
What a great way to end the week and lead into Half Term!
White Court School said 'At White Court, we believe it is very important to inspire our children and expose them to a wide range of opportunities, which will in turn encourage them to work hard to achieve their dreams.'
